Jordan LaVine

This is going to be hard. Plus I've had complaints that they are getting too long, so I'll shorten it up.

When I met Jordan in ninth grade, I really only knew one thing about him: he had ridiculously long hair for a dude. I mean, there's shaggy, and then there's Jordan. I think we were all a little strange back then, and Jordan was definitely no exception. I knew him through debate, too, but mostly just from hanging out. He was nice. And really funny. And really, really weird.

I want to make it clear that Jordan is not, in fact, the King of Backrubs. I currently hold that title. Yes, King. You heard me. They're not bad though...but I still win. Every time.

He's a really good listener. He's really sympathetic and almost always has good advice. Sometimes, advice isn't necessary and he's just there to listen. I think sometimes he feels like he's stuck in that "listening friend" rut, but it's more of a niche. Those people are rare and should be held tight.

He's got really cool eyes. Since he got his massive makeover (read: haircut), people can actually look at his eyes. And they're cool! They're a sweet color, it's sort of blue-y and yellow-y and green-y too.

He's really funny. When Thomas, Mary, and Jordan are together, all hell tends to break loose, especially on the days when they're all feeling "funny". Sometimes I don't always understand the jokes, because they do have quite a few inside jokes, but I've come to realize that the humor is almost always on-the-spot. Admirable.

He's a good writer. He knows he's a good writer, so I don't really have to go on. I haven't read that much of his stuff, but I read a few things for ACL last year and we tend to think along the same lines of literature. It's nice, having someone else to talk to about a poem, or book, or excerpt... anything, really.

He worries too much for his own good.

Oh, I can't believe I forgot.
He's a walking advertisement for Mountain Dew. He drinks so much of the bloody stuff that his veins are probably filled with hemoglobin and Dew. I think he seriously starts tweaking out when he doesn't get his fix. It's really disturbing.

But I like him anyway!
